Joyce studied at Loughborough College of Art in the 1960s and has since developed her own style, much of which reflects a love of the sea.

Since moving to South Devon, she has been inspired by the beautiful coastline of the South Hams.  Her work is evocative of seaside holidays, sometimes combining the beaches with lively portrayals of children, their dogs and their parents.

Her paintings, always in oils, are in collections in the UK and abroad.   She has exhibited in London and Plymouth, organised and participated in exhibitions in Totnes and Kingsbridge, and for the past twelve years, has run a popular Art class in Frogmore.
