Art @ Delamore 08

This year's exhibition has begun with great success. Despite the pouring rain, our Artist Afternoon on Wednesday 30th April, to commence the opening of Art @ Delamore 08, had a fantastic turn-out.

The press have been gathering around Delamore in the past few weeks, snapping photographs of the incredible sculptures we have on display in the gardens, plus over one hundred paintings hung from the walls of the main hall inside the house.

Plus some very exciting news! As this year's chosen charity is Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, sculptor Suzie Marsh has carved a bronze resin replica of "Tanner" The Hearing Dog. Visitors to Delamore can purchase either a small or lifesize Tanner. Also, you can take part in the raffle draw, where an Artist Proof print worth £400 has been kindly donated by Michael Morgan RI.

If you would like to exhibit at Art @ Delamore 2009 or the new Delamore Gallery please send samples of work and full contact details by post to: Delamore Arts, Delamore, Cornwood, Devon, PL21 9QT or email admin@delamore.com.

Please note that the submissions process for Art @ Delamore 2008 is now officially closed but we still would like to hear from you for 2009 and for Delamore Gallery.

Delamore Gallery and Sculpture Garden

This year there is twice as much to see! At the new Delamore Gallery, our pioneering annual craft exhibition "Spring Forward" runs from 18 April - 09 June. Delamore gallery can be approached from the main garden via a sculpture trail every day in May.

Spring Forward will introduce previously unseen work from more than 30 photographers, jewellers, printmakers, ceramicists and other craftsmen. The diverse range includes jewellery by Stephanie Buddle and Sarah Scott, print-work by Emma Molony, Robin Moorcroft and Jo Talbot Bowen, ceramic wellie boots by Cumbria-based Caroline Nash, textile-based pieces by Adam Halls, and metalwork by renowned artist Melanie Guy.

As well as this, photography of the natural world by Michael Carter, Mark King and Sean Hellman will link with nature-inspired coloured glasswork by Crispian Heath, Wendy Smart and Carole Rolfe. We are also honoured to exhibit international work by two French artists; the incredible figurative paper sculptures by Marion Lamy, and the eerie stitch-work paintings by Sholeh Kashizadeh.

It's definitely a show not to be missed!
